Gregorio Bermann

Argentine psychiatrist and philosopher

Gregorio Bermann was a prominent Argentine figure, notable for his contributions to the fields of psychiatry and philosophy. Born in 1894 in Buenos Aires, he was the youngest of ten siblings, with eight of his older siblings having been born in Poland to Polish Jewish immigrant parents. This cultural background would later influence his diverse pursuits in life. Bermann's early life and education laid the foundation for his future endeavors as a psychiatrist, philosopher, and humanist.

Bermann's activism and leadership skills were evident in his involvement with the Argentine University Federation in Cordoba, where he played a key role in the student movement during the first half of the 20th century.
