Scott Spiegel

Scott Spiegel was a multifaceted figure in the American film industry, active as a screenwriter, director, producer, and actor. His career was marked by collaborations with notable filmmakers, particularly his longtime friend Sam Raimi. The two met while attending Wylie E. Groves High School in Birmingham, Michigan, laying the groundwork for future professional partnerships.

Spiegel's notable contributions include co-writing the screenplay for Evil Dead II alongside Raimi. He also had acting roles in some of Raimi's early works, such as Within the Woods, where he played the character Scotty. This film served as a precursor to The Evil Dead, although Spiegel did not reprise his role in the latter, being replaced by Richard DeManincor.
